BURIAL RECORDS
Walker Parish Churchyard is over 160 years old and is one of the largest in Europe (see pages on the history of the Church). Many of the residents of Walker lie buried in the Churchyard.
A Walker Churchyard Memorial Group has now been set up to support the management and upkeep of the Churchyard. The Group has the aim of rejuvenating the Churchyard and making available information relating to burial records, burial plot locations, memorial inscriptions etc. The Group has been gathering details for some time now and has amassed quite an extensive amount of information about records of burial plots and names etc.The information being gathered will be of invaluable assistance to those researching family trees and ancestry.
